Some of the functional coffees contain a natural sweetener — stevia. If the coffee tastes slightly too sweet to you, a simple solution is to add more water or a bit of your favorite milk. The manufacturer’s (Beforeyouspeak) market research suggests that 250–350 ml is the ideal amount of water for functional coffee, depending on how sweet you prefer it.
If you enjoy strong, black coffee, we recommend trying the unsweetened range, which does not contain stevia.
